Chester Neville

Chester started playing guitar in High School when he formed his first band called CHET AND THE CHESSMEN. In 1975 he moved with Susan, his wife, to Las Vegas. There, on many a night, you would find him jamming at the local Musician's Union Hall with some of the hottest jazz players in town. In 1985 they moved to Fresno to open a business, He started in the Fresno music scene performing at the Open Mic Nights at the Wild Blue. After hosting his own open mic nights for several years, he formed 3GUYS PLAYIN' THE BLUES.

Jon Hougard   ( Otis the Love Bullet, or J-Ho )

Jon (a.k.a. Otis) began playing the bass at the age of 12 in Selma, CA with The Kords. By the time he finished college at Fresno State he had played Surf, Rock, Samba Jazz and Blues. He also had lived in San Francisco and Brazil (twice.)  Since he returned to Fresno in 1973 he has played with a mutitude of groups performing Country, Progressive Jazz Rock and Classic Rock. Steve Lopez

Steve is back with the band, after a break of several years, and we're glad to have him. His vocal contributions have been missed, as well as his skills on the drums. Along with 3 Guys he plays with Groove Monkey, one of the hottest funk bands in Fresno.

Ron Tan
Ron is the mystery man of the band, the "quiet guy" you might say.  He brings a fullness to the sound of the band, with his electronic wizardry.
His keyboard work has inhanced the Jazz feel of 3 Guys Playin' The Blues.

Josh Andree - Sax

Josh Andree is in his fourth year at Fresno State, and is set to get his degree in Instrumental Jazz Performance. Josh was born and raised in Clovis, California, and graduated from Clovis High in 2006. During his time in high school, he played in a combo that regularly played professionally around town. He joined the Fresno State Jazz Band A his freshman year, and is now playing lead alto in the ensemble. Upon graduating, Josh plans to go to grad school, and then he plans to obtain a doctorate.
